Dear All
i am working in private company as an accountant. Recently one retired person joined as an excutive officer in our company. When preparation of salary statement he, insist for does deduct Provident Fund from my salary becaz, i am retired employee of Govt. of India.
He said PF not applicable for Govt. retired people who are re-joined in private companies after completed from Govt. Service
He is right; kindly help me inthis regard

Dear if he has not completed 58 years of services than he is absolutely worng. If his basic is less than 6500 than he has to be covered under epfact. Regards j s malik

Yes, after completion of 58 years of age person is not eligible for PF contribution and also if his salary is non-deductable as per PF ceiling i.e. Rs. 6500/- per month.
