Hi all,
Well said by Jeevaneyan, there are certain competencies matching females, being an HR personnel they dont switch over job frequently.
Stability, better coordination and contribution wins them a role in HR.
But as discussed HR positions are not only filled by female candidates.

Neha...that was the notion during late 90's but its not true now.
It was said that its a "Ladies Job"...because of their temperament, patience, ability to interact with people and their convince power.
But, if you look around...it is a fact that in most of the companies female don't move above the level of Manager or say GM's. Reason is that...at that level you need a tough person who can take harsh decision, and aggressive person...who is not very emotional and result oriented.
I hope this will help.

Hi Sanjeev,
I completely disagree with your comments that most of the females are not promoted to the level above managers.
The reason specified by you is not correct, the females generally do not reach higher levels as they take break for their family.
Either it is their pregnancy, taking care of child, their upbringing, taking care of old family mambers etc. it is always a female of the family who sacrifice her job and give priority to fmily.
So the reason many females leave job or take a break is the reason for not making it to the higher level of Management.
But the scenario is changing now. :D
In our company, worldwide the HR department has all females and just two males. the VP HR is also a female, both HR directors are female.
