hey everyone.i am doing a project on compensation and benefits in an organization. what i am told to be doing here is review the present compensation process and prepare a handbook for the same. the project doesnt seem to be tough but i am having difficulty in preparing the scope and methodology for the same. since there is no questionnaires and research involved, how can i make a methodology for the same.
please help me out as soon as possible.

You have not given enough information about why the project is being undertaken. For example, is it for an undergraduate degree?
Are you being prohibited from using a questionnaire? If not, you can find out "How the system should work?", in theory, (draw a flow chart); do a survey to find out "How it is being practised?" and then seek for suggestions for its improvement.

Well, it is for my Posy Graduation Internship. I am doing Post Graduate Program in Management. I am not prohibited from using any questionnaire. But the project detail the guide has given is to review the compensation process and make a handbook. So i was thinking of adding how the compensation has an effect on employees or some topic like that.

Have you done any literature survey and formed your aim and objectives for the survey? You also need a conceptual framework for your research. Have you any hopotheses to test? If so, could you please state that so that you can get a focussed answer.
If you have not done any of the above essential preparation for conducting a project, I would advise you to please do so and then pose a precise question.

hi.........Even though project didn't seem tough itz surely a tidious job.bcoz when itz feasible in nature they expect a high amount of effeciency and perfection in subject.i would advice you that each company differs from the other in the way they pay compensation to there employees irrespective they share the same components in compensation structure.That will bring u open to practical experience and some additional (primary data i.e 1st hand data)approach to ur project .it will also help u to furnish ur part of knowledge.Even i am doing my project on "study of compensation structure"(Engineering Industries)which includes collection of compensation data from all deserving engineering industries.
