Many of the HR activities and gatherings will have an objetcive behind it.. so You should have mentioned the main motive and objective behind organizing these things...

And if your company is smaller in size.. like 50-200 then you could conduct an event as cubicle decoration... It was a huge hit at my previous company and feeling of owning the work place may develop among the employees. (You can make "recycle" as theme)

Apart from these let me know the objectives and could share with you some more activities.

All the best

Hi Bincy, U can as well go for Ethinic wear for ur employees. Can celebrate some day like Women's day where in guys give their comment to a particular female collegue and post them in a box...at the end of the day the highest comments pooled for a women will be given a prize...etc.. can create more based on whether ..is it for enjoyment or is it for knowledge based...

u can even try out days when some games can be held both indoors and outdoors like relays etc which boost team spirits too..also, u can try ur hand at sending out mails by naming them as HR Refresher which can catch the latest buzz of organization or can even include some motivational thopughts or any ppt like that..
