We have been using the muster roll registers to track the attendance in our company. Now we would like to replace the manual system by linking the attendance with access card swiping.
My question is , is it mandatory to inform the labour authorities before doing away with the manual registers. If so please let me know the necessary procedures to comply with.

if you want to maintain all recrds electronically ,than in case of factory you are requiried to trake permission from director of factories.if you are covered under shop and establisment act than deupty labour commmissioner will give u permission.
