We want to pay an exgratia payment for Part time sweeperwomen who have served around 20years. Is there is any basis for computation on lines of gratuity or any other basis the amount can be computed. Urgent please,
From India, Madras
For part time workers also procedure of gratuity calculation remains the same. Since the amount of gratuity depends upon the salary paid at the time of leaving the organisation and as a part time employee is not expected to get salary at par with a full time employee, no separate treatment is required.
The present salary (basic + DA) divided by 26 (to arrive at daily wage) multiplied by 15 (to get 15 days wages) and multiplied by 20 (to find gratuity for 20 years) will be the gratuity payable to the sweeper.
