yes shweta, according to me its difficult however, not impossible......peoples to whom u give an interview after a gap of 1 year thinks that u have lost that link and 'used to ' tendancy toward work...especially ms ecxel, powerpoint etc.....and many other things....
i myself have a gap of 6 months after having a baby ...i was working with retail as HR/IR executive...n now when i want to start up with some decent salary its becoming difficult....:(
