Hi,
Which consultancy you are planning to start, If its HR consultancy then as per my experience & knowledge which I had gained in this recession period is very bad.

Sky is the limit if u establish & sustain the business in this time & you generate revenue through domestic market. Recession is learning for all small & medium type organization, my thinking is if I prove myself in this time & do my business well with minimal cost & high results, the no will stop to go ahead & do the business everytime..

Cheers

Hi Sarvanan,
what all I suggest is if you think you are gutsy enough to prove your abilities and face all the challenges that comes on your way and succeed you can surely start up. Though its recession time, there are still some companies that are hiring. what i suggest you is not to confine to IT recruitments at this point. Explore all possible verticals like IT and Non-IT too. Try and target medium sized companies where the competetion is less.
Also do not go with huge investment. Cut short the expenses and start with a minimal basic set up to keep contro on the expenses.
I wish you all the best!!!!!!!!!
Just believe in yourself and your abilities and give it your best shot.
Be Confident...Just Confident...not over confident.

Dear Mr Saravana
Your idea is not bad. But in this struggling situation u should not expext profit. Also you prepare yourself to get your fingers durnt.
However, this situation shall change by mid of 2009 as economists and business analysts predicted. Once, market get a front head, u will have business.
The foundiation without expectations which u want to lay may yield results after few months.
All the best.

Dear Saravanan and Shreyansh,
Neither of you are ready. So, please don't start a new venture now.
This suggestion is based on your questions on this topic. However, since I could be wrong, and you are the best judge of your readiness, here is a page that might help you come to an objective decision on your own:
Are you read to start a business?
Are you ready to start your business?
Good luck.
