Dear Friends :
The self appraisal concept will surely occupy a very important role in PMS process. As the opportunity will be given to the employee to document all his previous performances. Also it will indicate where he has contributed outstanding performance etc will be highlited. It is very difficult for the immediate reporting manager to remember all the achievements of his subordinates. This concept will be helpful to both the employee and manger in order to evaluate the optimum performance level of an employee.
Now-a-days all the KRA concept mixed with Balance Score Card is getting implemented in all the companies. However, in addition to the pre-defined KRAs there are some more important areas which cannot be measured will also figures out in Self Appraisal.
I feel this is a very important one.
