can anybody tell me if there are cases of HR managers who have grown to be CEO's of companies? ... I'm not talkin about CEO's of HR consultancies or anyother manpower organisations.
I tried finding this info but cudnt come up with anything...so plz do share ur knowledge!

I have not come across any such case. I have been looking
at this subject for the last few years.
Only one exceptional case was
-HR DIRECTOR OF A LARGE CORPORATION BECAME
A NATIONAL COACH OF RUGBY FOOTBALL OF A COUNTRY.
At the board level, the pressure is on for performance,
which means only two critical factors stands a chance
-MARKETING/SALES
-FINANCE.
