I have some vacancies available for Pagination Trainee for a reputed IEEE Publishing company in Chennai and will have to respond before 3rd December 2008 .

Job Description:
- Receiving point of all our initial work documents (PDF) and image files along
with work orders / emails through FTP sites from our customers.
- Responsible for the crucial process of verifying the XML orders / emails with
the downloaded file content and entering all information in the eworkflow to
initiate the file tracking process.
- Responsible for passing on the downloaded file to the respective process and
uploading the processed file back to the customer.
- Sending out notification mails, where applicable, for files uploaded.
- Report to the respective Project Managers and send status reports on the
uploaded files/pending uploads during night shifts.
- Checking both the downloaded and uploaded documents and confirming the same
via emails to the customers.

Desired Candidate Profile:
1, Should have excellent communication skills.
2, Should have good exposure in MS OFFICE & INTERNET.
3, Should be a graduate with excellent academic records.
4, Candidates who have completed (B.A English Literature) will be given first
preference.
5, Should be flexible with shifts & a good team player.

They will be giving training on Software like Pagination.Indesign.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Serves as consultant to management in aspects of general implementation of company personnel policies, local, state and federal regulations and industry standard practices regarding human resources and general safety.

* Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurance plans, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.

* Advises management about apparent safety and security risks and recommends preventive and corrective measures. Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier; manages worker's compensation claims.

* Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.

* Prepares budget of human resources operations.

* Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.

* Suggests motivation activities and programs for employee morale and wellness.

* Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.

* Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.

* Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as canteen, transportation, or relocation service.
