Hi Gurus
i want to know few things regarding the accident in office premises.
1) What if an employee is not under ESIC and met with an accident in the course of employment?
2) Is company liable to pay his hospitalization expenses?
3) What if an employee going for a visit and met with an accident and he is at fault.
4) Is it ok if we have Accidental and Medical Insurance of employee to avoid further liability?

if an empoyee is not under ESIC than workmen compensation act will apply to him.
hospital bill to be paid by company is not legally reqd but ethically company should pay.
yes accidental and medical policy should be there.

Is it a statutory compliance to cover the employees(excluded from ESI Act) under Workmen Compensation in the same factory?
I mean will it be valid to apply WC Act & ESI Act both in a single factory..

Hi All,
I am working in Apparels Retail Outlet as a Store Manager
I met an accident in Company Store
When Customer was taking trials by mistake he close the door of the trial room and i got injury in left hand.
My Left Hand - Ring Finger - Distal Phalanx was snap off.
I went to Doctor He took stitches and joined Distal Phalanx
but Distal Phalanx is not working now
My company is ready to bear all medical treatment expenses but
Is any Law or Act like Workmen Compensation Act,1923 where I can get compensation for this disability or loss of earning capacity ???
