Me and my female friend work in a bank together, we are not only good colleagues but rather we have good family terms and we both were intending to get engage soon, however, a misunderstanding took place and we fought in office premises and i slaped my friend in office, which got recorded in office cameras as well. management interfared and compelled my female colleague to write a complaint letter agianst me to the high officials, the letter wording which my female colleague submitted to the management as they insisted so, it is as follows: The branch Manager _______________ SUBJECT: INCIDENT DATED: ____AUG,2008 Respected Sir, I would like to draw your attention to the subject cited above. I cleared my ACCA papar on ______Aug, 2008, and hence I decided to give treat to my friends. With permission from my mother, i invited my friends (me and one other female colleague) for lunch. As for as this branch is concerned, i had very good terms with Amina (Other female colleague who was going for lunch with us) and Alamzeb (Me). Amina is known to me since my university while i got to know alamzeb in askari bank for more than a year now. keeping in view, my good relations with both of them and with due permission of my mother, i decided to treat them, for which we decided to go in lunch break on ____aug, 2008, however, i and amina could not make it due to excess work load and hence the programme got cancelled. This was intimated to Alamzeb, however, on his return to bank, he misbehaved with me. Alamzeb is not only known to my family members rather i had good working relations with alamzeb and always worked with him in a cordial environment. his action is condemnable and he has voilated office rules and regulations. I am serving the bank with alot of respect, intergirty, sincerity and professional approach. I belong to a respectable family and am facing such a situation with alot of difficulty and tension. I, therefore request you not to create more hype of this issue and resolve it as soon as possible. Keeping in mind my and my family respect, i would appreciate if this matter is not taken to further higher officials. nevertheless, if it is taken, i hope that it is treated with leniency as alamzeb is regretting it alot and has apologized me and high officials manay times, for breaking the office dicipline. Please treat the matter with due diligence, at your earlier. Regards, ____________ Dear readers, Please comments on the above letter that what action may the management take and what is best reply to this complaint.? I will be very thankful to you all.

I presume, since your friend, to whom you had slapped, has already forgiven you and requested the management not to take any action against you, you are lucky. Still, for violating office discipline, the management, if thinks so, may ask you for a show cause notice. Then, you may be required to submit a proper reply with an assurance that no such incident will be repeated in future.

Hello Alamzeb…I am not very sure if this is the exact communication she has written to the management or you have modified it for this site. If this is the exact then both of you will let off the hook by a simple warning and will be asked to not to express your private emotions in public. There is a very simple philosophy that is applicable in the society, “If you will do your private and personal things in public, anyone has right to comment on it or take any action. All the best to you. Thanks and Regards
