Dear Seniors,
What are the number of hours an employee should be working if he/she is working in US shift according to present practices in BPO's?
We provide conveyance facility through company cabs. If we include transport time and login/effective work hrs together, how many hours in total should an employee be spending as per BPO/ITES standards?
Are there any guidelines for BPO's/ KPO's to which we need to adhere to?Give me details so that the same can be followed in my company as well?
Please give your valuable feedback and suggestions.

Dear all,
Though i got certain clarity for my query from Malik's answer, I would like to know what policy you are following in your BPO/ KPO regarding shift timings and transportation?
I need to streamline the shift timings for US shift and also accordingly negotiate with cab service providers for pick up and drop of our employees.
So would like to know to what extent we can extend the shift timings? who is the authority from whom we should take this permission?
Even if employees work for 9hrs a day, they need to spend certain time for travelling to and fro to office. so, what convincing explanation can we give to the management about time for pick up as not all employees are in the nearby locations to office?
Hope to get your valuable suggestions and help.

Vijaya
