im shreedevi.
i have a presentation on dabba walla logistics, but i heard it to be a six sigma and even a 8 sigma one. so people who know about this , can u help me regarding this

Hello friend,
If the number of defects are 6 in total 100000000000 transactions then it is considered as EIGHT SIGMA.
Mumbai dabbawalas make 1 error/defect in 6,000,000 transactions so the sigma level is lower at 6.6 sigma.
In simple words if the number of defects are more the sigma level is lower.
If about 6 defects occur in 1 million transactions it is Six Sigma. You may see the sigma calculator at following link.

Since the errors committed by Mumbai dabbawalas is so less that it can be termed as almost defect free and we may call it "eight sigma" metaphorically.
