Dear Friends,
As per the new Bonus Act amendment, ceiling has been raised to Rs. 10,000/-pm . Now my question/problem is :-
1) Whether we have to pay Bonus to all those employees whose Basic salary is upto Rs. 10k or their gross salary is upto Rs. 10k.
2) What minimum persentage we have to pay its 8.33% or 10%, 15% or 20% ... if we show profits in our books.
All seniors/ collegues are requested to kindly solve my querry , I will be thankful to you.

Hi,
Employee drawing Basic+DA upto Rs.10000 shall be entitled for getting Bonus under Payment of Bonus Act.
Employee drawing Rs.3500 or above as Basic+DA shall receive the Bonus on Rs.3500/- as the same is maximum limit for cmputation of bonus
The % of Bonus shall depends on Allocable surplus for perticular year of your company.
Hope this will give better calrity.

Bonus is payable within 8 month from the close of accounting year, and the returns are to be filed within 30 days after the expiry of the time limit prescribed. (i.e if the close of accounting year is 31st March, Bonus is required to be paid by 30th November and the returns is to be filed by 30th December.
